Full Job Description Position Summary:

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating CNC and/or conventional production equipment to manufacture precision components according to established work instructions, drawings, and quality requirements. This position focuses primarily on safely loading, operating, monitoring, and unloading machines that have been set up by qualified setup personnel or programmers. The Machine Operator performs routine inspections, records production information, identifies potential quality concerns, and maintains a clean and organized work area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and other assigned manufacturing equipment. Follow job travelers, work instructions, setup sheets, drawings, and production schedules. Load raw material, fixtures, and parts into machines correctly and safely. Start and monitor established machine cycles; remove completed parts and clear chips as required. l Inspect parts at specified intervals using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and other assigned inspection tools. Verify that parts meet documented dimensional and visual requirements. Report dimensional variations, damaged tooling, unusual machine conditions, or other production concerns to the supervisor or setup machinist. Make authorized tool-offset adjustments within established limits when trained and approved to do so. Identify and properly segregate nonconforming or questionable material. Complete job travelers, inspection records, labor entries, material transactions, and other production documentation accurately. Maintain part identification and traceability throughout the manufacturing process. Meet established quality and productivity expectations. Perform routine machine checks, cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive-maintenance tasks as assigned. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment. Handle parts carefully to prevent damage, contamination, or loss of identification. Follow applicable ISO 9001, AS9100, ITAR, and company quality-system requirements. Assist with deburring, cleaning, inspection, packaging, or other production activities when needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred. Previous manufacturing, machine-operation, or production experience preferred but not required for an entry-level position. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, decimals, and fractions. Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and understand dimensional requirements. Ability or willingness to learn how to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Basic computer skills and the ability to enter production information into the company's ERP system. Ability to maintain accurate records and pay close attention to detail. Dependable attendance and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to communicate quality, equipment, and production concerns promptly. Must be eligible to access ITAR-controlled information as required for the position

Preferred Qualifications:

One or more years of machine-shop or manufacturing experience. Experience operating CNC mills or CNC lathes. Familiarity with GD&T;, blueprint reading, and precision measuring equipment. Experience working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 manufacturing environment. Experience using an ERP or electronic job-tracking system, such as ProShop ERP.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift. Ability to frequently use hands and arms to handle parts, tools, and machine controls. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements. Visual ability sufficient to inspect small features and read measuring instruments. Ability to work safely around moving machinery, metal chips, coolant, oils, and moderate industrial noise. Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in a precision machine-shop environment. Employees may be exposed to operating machinery, metal chips, cutting fluids, oils, noise, and variations in temperature.
