Position Summary Assists in the particle reduction department and supports the that finished products are made to customer specifications. Details This section is intended to describe the general work performed in this position. Can follow precise directions from the particle reduction specialist Must have mechanical background and can basic troubleshoot Must be able to keep organized and work independently if needed Follow schedule priority, assist in production problems, and minimize extra cost or delay. Support production goals and demonstrate responsibility by keeping resource expenditure minimized and personnel utilization consistently balanced. Follows OSHA and SQF requirements Understands food safety and its culture Supports all audit requirements associated with SQF and additional third-party audits Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills Show assertiveness when completing assignments. Mechanical knowledge Perform tasks that will result in contact with some food allergens. (Company will advise) Demonstrate commitment to company values, policies, and procedures. Ability to stand and maneuver for long periods of time. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift objects of up to 60 lbs. Ability to work well with colleagues & customers in a professional & organized manner. Desired skills 2+ years of similar position experience. Proficiency in basic use of computers and Microsoft Office Applications. Database management experience/ ability to learn company software and database quickly. Experience in the manufacturing and food industry. Organization and follow-up skills. Machinery operation and maintenance experience, especially Pallet Jack, forklift, grinders, sifters, oil presses, pumps, etc. Hands on attention to detail with machine tolerances, set-up, and tear down of production equipment.
