Full Job Description Injection Molding Maintenance Technician Location:
Fitchburg, MA Pay:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour

Temp-to-Perm A growing manufacturing company in the Fitchburg area is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to join their team! This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing injection molding presses and other manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience maintaining injection molding equipment in a manufacturing environment and strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. What You'll Do Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on injection molding presses and manufacturing equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs to minimize production downtime Maintain and repair auxiliary equipment, including dryers, chillers, thermolators, conveyors, and material handling systems Support robotic systems, automation equipment, and CNC machinery Assist with equipment installation, startup, relocation, and commissioning Troubleshoot molding process-related equipment issues Complete maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring maintenance concerns Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and efficiency Follow all safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Work closely with Production, Engineering, Process Technicians, and other manufacturing teams
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in injection molding, plastics manufacturing, or industrial manufacturing Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics Experience performing preventive maintenance and equipment repairs in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with hand and power tools Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and data entry Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English Preferred Qualifications Experience with Engel, Arburg, Sodick, Toyo, or similar injection molding equipment Experience with robotics, automation systems, and end-of-arm tooling Experience maintaining dryers, chillers, thermolators, hot runner systems, conveyors, and material handling equipment Experience with CNC machines or automated manufacturing equipment Electrical troubleshooting experience with sensors, relays, motors, and controls Experience in a medical device, contract manufacturing, or ISO-regulated environment Familiarity with CMMS or preventive maintenance software Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles Why Apply?
