Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sweep and Shovel sand and keep areas clean Dry molds after adding wash to molds by spraying or swabbing Setting cores in molds Pattern removal, help crane operator Read and follow process sheets Hauling iron Core clean up, filing, sanding molds, wash molds, closing molds Using basic hand, air tools and hand hoists Forklift operation as required Weigh down molds Prepare core and drag molds for closing
Qualifications:
High school diploma required. Previous experience in a foundry preferred. Experience in automatic molding and core-making machines a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to tolerate hot working conditions and a loud environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Work Schedule Must be available to work assigned shifts and overtime as production requirements dictate. Occasional weekend work may be required.
