Produce and package finished products in compliance with normal and customary procedures, in a safe and efficient manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up assigned machine for production runs from cold start and perform changeovers as required. Review and comply with instructions for assigned equipment to be operated. Check QA Record sheets to be sure which product is being run. Check dimensions, appearance and angles utilizing rulers and measuring tapes. Make required entries on the QA Record. Package finished product in accordance with the QA Record. Make sure proper housekeeping is conducted and that work area is clean and orderly. Assist in the repair of broken or defective equipment as needed. If assigned to line 4, 5 or 6, check print and bar codes utilizing the scanner.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Wear and maintain in good condition all personal safety devices required and work in a safe and efficient manner with relation to machinery and co-workers at all times. Be aware of safe work method and working conditions. Do everything possible to prevent personal injury and injury to others. Must be able to read, speak and understand verbal and written direction in English for the safe and effective performance of the job. Must wear and maintain in good condition Required Personal Protective Equipment ("PPE"). Ability to safely operate Forklift and able to obtain and maintain Forklift License.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift or push weights up to fifty (50) pounds for prolonged periods of time during assigned work shift. Manual dexterity as needed to operate machinery and equipment and complete assigned tasks. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions, moving mechanical parts and vibrations and tolerate exposure to typical noises associated with plant operations. Education and Experience High School and/or GED required. Forklift Operator.
