Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Sewing Specialist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality sewing and garment construction processes, ensuring that all products meet strict quality standards and safety protocols. Your expertise in sewing techniques, materials handling, and machine operation will contribute to efficient production workflows and exceptional product craftsmanship. Responsibilities Operate sewing machines to assemble equipment according to specified build and quality standards. Visit ugmfg.com to see examples of products built. Measure fabrics and finished products using various measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy according to specifications. Maintain adherence to safety standards in production environments, including proper handling of materials and equipment. Monitor quality standards throughout the sewing process, inspecting finished products for defects or inconsistencies. Handle materials efficiently within warehouse settings, ensuring proper storage, movement, and inventory management of fabric materials. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machine issues, optimize sewing techniques, and improve overall workflow efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in garment sewing, upholstery, or related manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of sewing construction techniques. Proficiency in operating single needle industrial sewing machines Knowledge of measuring instruments and dimensional measurements to ensure precise product specifications. Familiarity with quality standards in production and safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment. Experience handling fabric materials and performing manual cutting tasks with accuracy. Ability to interpret technical drawings or patterns for garment construction or upholstery projects.
Benefits:
Full Time (40hr/week). Starting pay will scale based on previous experience/ability and will increase as training is completed and skills are developed. No required overtime or weekend work. Overtime and bonus opportunities available for fully trained individuals. Health insurance 10 hour (4 days/week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) shifts 12 days of paid vacation per year and paid holidays.
