General Production Worker Job Description Join a dynamic team responsible for preparing ingredients for dumpling and food production while adhering to USDA standards. Operate machinery to produce soup dumplings and other food items, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures related to human and food safety, as well as quality assurance. Work collaboratively during production and independently during prep work, with a flexible schedule that may include weekends, evenings, holidays, and other hours as business needs arise. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients for dumpling and food production. Sanitize and organize tools and equipment according to USDA standards. Follow standard operating procedures for human and food safety and quality assurance. Operate machinery for the preparation of soup dumplings and other food items. Collaborate as a team during production and work independently during prep work. Maintain attendance and arrive punctually, utilizing street parking if necessary. Essential Skills Experience in large-scale food preparation with culinary and organizational skills. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic work environment. Strong adherence to procedures and attention to detail. Capability to work independently and take ownership of tasks. Proficiency in following instructions and completing tasks diligently. Additional Skills & Qualifications General labor experience, including packing, inventory, and material handling. Experience with RF scanners. Ability to maintain cleanliness and personal hygiene, including wearing appropriate attire and personal protective equipment. Understanding of food safety regulations, including removing jewelry and cosmetics that can create safety hazards. Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, wearing layers as needed. Work Environment The work environment involves temperature variations requiring layered clothing, and wet conditions during production and sanitation activities. Employees must adhere to dress codes, including closed-toe shoes, clean clothing, and specific personal protective equipment such as hairnets, gloves, earplugs, and cut-resistant gloves. The schedule includes weekday shifts from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sumner, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
