THE ROLE

We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team. The Quality Inspector performs inspections on machined turbomachinery components and assemblies to verify compliance with RMS specifications and quality standards. This role supports the quality management system and continuous improvement initiatives through accurate documentation, evaluation of nonconformances, and corrective action follow-up. The position is responsible for maintaining nonconformance reports and ensuring all discrepant components and assemblies are reviewed and dispositioned in accordance with RMS requirements.

ISO 9001 EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Knowledge and experience with QMS principles and

ISO 9001.

Proficient with use of, care of, and the calibration of all types of measuring devices. Ability to utilize a variety of inspection tools, CMM, Optical comparator, Faro arms. Ability to perform trigonometric and geometric calculations. AWS Certified Welding (CWI)

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Control Inspector Generate and maintain nonconformance reports to ensure that all discrepant components and assemblies are evaluated in accordance with company requirements. Perform dimensional/layout inspections of moderately complex parts. Page Break Perform visual inspection of welded components and repairs, verify compliance with approved procedures, drawings, and internal quality requirements. Generate inspection reports and associated documentation. Maintain inspection tool calibration system to ensure accuracy of company inspection equipment. Perform source inspections at supplier facilities. Review supplier generated reports and material certifications

Key Success Factors:

Working knowledge of Excel, Word, AutoCAD, etc. Knowledge of machining practices and processes Working knowledge of welding processes and weld quality requirements Knowledge of nondestructive testing practices and procedures Skill in communication, both written and verbal Skill in component set-up and evaluation Skill in interpretation of complex drawings Thorough knowledge of dimensional inspection / layout practices and procedures

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of five years in a Quality Inspector role with dimensional inspection and reverse engineering practices.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

The position may be based in RMS's Perris, CA facility. Travel time is expected to be 5%. This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Additional hours, including evenings or weekends may be required based on project needs. This position can be required to participate in the company random or customer specific drug and alcohol screening and background check. Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and background check Ability to act professionally under stressful situations. Must be able to use hands for assembling and tool usage. Must not have allergies or issues related to handling metals, including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel. Able to understand, read, write and speak English. Ability to lift 30 pounds Authorized to work in the United States RMS Inc. may have government contracts that impose specific requirements on employees working on those projects. If an employee does not meet these requirements, they may be reassigned to a different location or be ineligible to work on certain assignments. Work Environment Page Break While performing the duties of this position, the employee may work / enter a shop or field service environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts. While the work area may be described as generally clean, safe, and "not loud", there will be machining operations that generate moderate noise
