Full Job Description Job Title:
Packer Job Description The Packer performs detailed first-piece inspections of plastic products in a manufacturing environment, ensuring that all parts meet customer drawings and specifications. This role uses optical and mechanical measuring equipment to verify product quality, documents inspection results, and supports corrective actions when needed. The position also requires strict adherence to safety, human resources, and departmental quality policies and procedures. Responsibilities Perform 100% first-piece inspections in accordance with customer drawings and specifications using optical and mechanical measuring equipment. Record inspection results clearly and accurately, indicating whether each part is accepted or rejected. Initiate and support corrective action plans when inspection results do not meet customer requirements. Communicate inspection outcomes and status of completed inspections to relevant team members. File all inspection-related paperwork, including blueprints and sample cavities, and maintain holds for final customer approval. Follow all Occupational Safety and Health policies and procedures and promptly report any safety deficiencies to the immediate supervisor. Comply with all Human Resources policies and procedures. Understand and adhere to all departmental quality policies and procedures. Perform packing, picking, and production-related tasks as needed to support operational workflow. Use RF scanners and perform visual inspections to ensure accurate packaging and order fulfillment. Essential Skills High school diploma or technical school education. 3 years of inspection experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings. Ability to interpret and apply customer quality requirements to inspection activities. Dexterity and precision required to operate optical and mechanical measuring equipment. Good communication skills to document results and collaborate with team members. Experience with packing, production, packaging, picking, and pick/pack processes. Ability to perform visual inspections to identify defects or nonconformities. Experience using RF scanners in a warehouse or manufacturing setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Technical school coursework related to manufacturing, quality, or inspection is beneficial. Familiarity with quality documentation and record-keeping practices. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills when handling blueprints, samples, and inspection records. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Comfort with following structured safety, HR, and quality procedures. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Miami Lakes, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00
