POSITION SUMMARY
Perform administrative functions for Quality Assurance purposes with batch records, change orders, deviations and various other quality related documentation. Assure proper processing, handling and retention of Quality Assurance records. Communicate frequently with Laboratory, R&D, Sales, Scheduling and Quality Assurance departments. Ensure that finished products meet quality standards. Build relationships with Sales and customers to be sure that customers' needs are met. Review, approve, and release finished goods for shipment.Maintain control of company retentions:
logging them into boxes, and storing according to regulatory and company guidelines, fulfilling retention requests for various business needs. Generate Certificates of Analysis and share with Sales team/customers. Maintain accurate and complete records.RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties - Order does not necessarily indicate duty importance- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Follow and ensure compliance with the quality system and cGMP programs.
- Process batch records from Softgel site. This may include preparing the documents with accurate lot number, product name, signatures, dates, and supplemental material, scanning into Trace Gains, filing, and maintaining spreadsheets with all related data.
- Maintain well organized and easily retrievable records of all documents and data.
- Pull records from retention room for in-house and customer needs.
- Review batch records for completeness and accuracy and ensure that Current Good Manufacturing Practices/Good Procurement Practices were followed, consulting with supervisor if needed.
- Release or reject product based on testing results against specifications and completeness of batch record documentation.
- Generate Certificates of Analysis for finished goods and send to appropriate salesperson, Customer Service Representative, and/or customer.
- Catalog, box up and store sample retentions. If needed, pull retention from storage and ensure completeness of necessary documentation. Additional

- Reports to Quality Assurance Manager.
Responsibility:
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and monitor all Critical Control Point (CCP) according to the HACCP plan.Authority:
To stop production lines or place product on "Quality Hold" if food safety risk, sanitation failure, or deviation from critical limits is identified.Reporting Authority:
Must immediately report any food safety non-conformance or equipment malfunction that threatens product integrity to the SQF Practitioner or QC Manager.QUALIFICATIONS
- Non-supervisory role.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Some work experience.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Basic reading skills required.
- Basic computer skills needed.
- Must have basic language skills.
- Must have basic writing skills.
- Must be willing to learn new tasks, procedures, and successfully complete on-the-job training in food safety, GMP, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential position duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to self or others.
- Maintain a regular and dependable work attendance record with few instances of unplanned and/or unexpected absence.
- Office and laboratory environment is shared.
- Production Area includes these environmental conditions: o Exposure to food ingredients, including food allergens, in free-floating powder form.
