This position requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to maintain tight dimensional and quality requirements in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Duties and Responsibilities Set up and operate cold heading machines to manufacture precision fasteners and components. Install and adjust dies, punches, tooling, and related machine components. Read and interpret blueprints, manufacturing instructions, and job specifications. Load and monitor raw material and wire used during the heading process. Adjust machine settings to maintain proper dimensions and part quality. Inspect parts throughout production using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment. Monitor machines for tooling wear, material issues, or production abnormalities. Troubleshoot machine and tooling problems and make adjustments as necessary. Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections. Complete required production and inspection documentation. Follow established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures. Maintain equipment and surrounding work areas in clean and safe condition. Qualifications Previous experience operating cold heading, hot heading, or similar fastener manufacturing equipment. Experience manufacturing bolts, screws, pins, fasteners, or similar metal components preferred. Knowledge of heading dies, punches, and tooling. Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensional tolerances. Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities. Aerospace, automotive, or high precision fastener manufacturing experience preferred.
