This position is ideal for someone with previous cold forming, nut forming, heading, or fastener manufacturing experience who is comfortable working with tight tolerances and demanding quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities Set up and operate nut forming machines and related cold forming equipment. Install and adjust dies, punches, transfer mechanisms, and associated tooling. Monitor the forming process to ensure consistent part dimensions and quality. Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, manufacturing specifications, and production orders. Load and monitor raw material used during production. Perform machine adjustments and tooling changes as required. Inspect manufactured parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision inspection equipment. Monitor tooling condition and identify worn, damaged, or improperly aligned tooling. Troubleshoot forming, feeding, transfer, and dimensional issues. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections. Document production quantities, inspections, tooling changes, and quality information. Follow established safety and quality procedures. Maintain equipment and work areas in clean and safe operating condition. Qualifications Previous experience operating nutformers, cold headers, progressive headers, or similar cold forming equipment. Experience manufacturing nuts, fasteners, or precision metal components strongly preferred. Knowledge of dies, punches, transfer systems, and multi-station forming processes. Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensional tolerances. Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Aerospace fastener manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
