Job Description

Tool and Die Maker Location:
Maple Shade, NJ Pay:
$35
  • 40 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Full-Time Experienced Tool & Die Maker Thomson Lamination Company is looking for an experienced Tool and Die Maker to support the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and changeover of precision stamping dies used in aerospace and other high-precision manufacturing applications. This is not an entry-level or trainee position. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience working with stamping dies, progressive dies, or similar precision production tooling. A Journeyman Tool & Die certificate is a plus, but not required if you have strong relevant experience. What You'll Do Troubleshoot production tooling and die-related issues Diagnose die problems and determine appropriate repairs or adjustments Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on stamping dies Repair and replace punches, dies, springs, pins, bushings, retainers, and other tooling components Perform die changeovers and convert tooling between production configurations Fit, assemble, disassemble, and adjust precision tooling Perform surface grinding and basic milling as required for die repair and maintenance Read and interpret engineering drawings, tool drawings, and dimensional specifications Inspect tooling and components using precision measuring equipment Work with production personnel to resolve tooling problems and minimize downtime Document repairs, maintenance, and tooling changes
What We're Looking For Required:
Previous hands-on experience with tool and die work, die repair, die maintenance, or stamping tooling Experience troubleshooting and repairing production dies Ability to read engineering drawings and work to close tolerances Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and height gauges Ability to work independently when diagnosing tooling problems
Preferred:
Experience with progressive or precision stamping dies Surface grinding experience Manual milling experience Experience replacing and fitting punches, die components, and related tooling Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification or equivalent training Experience in aerospace, defense, medical, or other precision manufacturing environments Why Join Thomson Lamination Company? $35
