Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation and repair of metal structures such as our trailers and other equipment, ensuring quality craftsmanship across various projects in our fabrication shop and on construction sites. Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately execute projects. Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and gas metal arc welding, ensuring compliance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components from sheet metal, structural steel, and other metal materials using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and soldering equipment. Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure accurate fabrication. Assemble fabricated parts according to specifications while adhering to safety protocols and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures during welding, cutting, grinding, and assembly tasks. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding within a shop or construction environment. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints. Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Proficient with measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers; capable of performing shop math calculations accurately. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and adherence to OSHA standards. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, soldering equipment, and other fabrication machinery safely. Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills; capable of interpreting technical drawings accurately. Join us in building quality structures with precision craftsmanship!
