Job Description

Production Welder - 2nd Shift Greene Manufacturing, Inc. - Cheslea, MI Full-Time | 2nd Shift Build American-Made Products That Last For over 55 years, Greene Manufacturing has designed and manufactured high-quality steel workspace and storage solutions for industrial, educational, automotive, government, and technical training markets. Our products are proudly built in the USA, and we're looking for a skilled Production Welder to join our growing team on 2nd Shift . If you take pride in producing clean, high-quality welds and enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd like to meet you. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on steel components used in cabinets, workstations, carts, benches, and other fabricated products. Read and interpret blueprints, welding prints, and work instructions. Weld assemblies to meet Greene Manufacturing quality standards. Verify dimensions and inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy. Grind, clean, and prepare welded assemblies for finishing. Operate basic fabrication equipment as needed. Work with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues. Maintain welding equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area. Assist with other fabrication and assembly tasks as production demands. Qualifications Previous MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols. Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, and calipers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of production welding experience. Experience welding 16-11 gauge steel. Experience building welded assemblies and fabricated products. Ability to operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, laser cutters, or turret punches is a plus. Forklift experience is a plus.
