About the Role Are you a skilled welder who takes pride in producing clean, high-quality welds and structural assemblies? We are looking for a Welder / Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will work primarily with 16-11 gauge cold rolled steel to perform MIG welds on components for custom cabinets, workstations, carts, and benches. You'll serve as a vital part of our manufacturing process, interpreting blueprints, inspecting your work for precision, and preparing assemblies for finishing.
What You'll Do MIG Welding & Assembly:
Perform MIG welding on steel components to build heavy-duty cabinets, workstations, and fabricated structures.
Blueprint Reading:
Read and interpret blueprints, welding prints, symbols, and work instructions.
Quality & Verification:
Verify dimensions using tape measures, squares, and calipers, inspecting welds for quality and structural accuracy.
Grinding & Surface Prep:
Grind, clean, and prepare welded assemblies for finishing.
Equipment & Shop Support:
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment, operate basic fabrication equipment as needed, and maintain a clean, safe work area.
What We're Looking For Experience:
Previous MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment required (2+ years of production welding experience with 16-11 gauge steel preferred).
Skills:
Strong ability to read blueprints/welding symbols and use measuring tools. Experience operating fabrication equipment (press brake, laser cutter, turret punch) or a forklift is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
