Our company is a manufacturer and distributor of welded and machined components for the light and medium duty trailer market. We are looking for a full-time Welder to work with our production and engineering team. This is a "hands on" position, working side by side with our production staff.

Responsibilities:

• Reading and understanding blueprints / product specifications prior to starting a project.
• Organizing workspace prior to starting production.
• Measuring and cutting materials to specification.
• Welding materials using the correct methods to join metals together.
• Checking finished work to make sure it falls within the tolerances published for each project.
• All welding is performed by hand.
• Welding method is solid wire MIG.
• Raw materials to be welded are carbon steel.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of production welding experience.
• Must be able to perform as part of a team in a production manufacturing and welding environment.
• A welding proficiency test will be required, administered internally and on-site at the employer.
• Be able to operate basic measuring equipment and hand tools.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team structure.
• Must have strong technical and mechanical aptitude; and enjoy working in a production environment.

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
