Production Welder
Job Description
Our company is a manufacturer and distributor of welded and machined components for the light and medium duty trailer market. We are looking for a full-time Welder to work with our production and engineering team. This is a "hands on" position, working side by side with our production staff.
Responsibilities:
- Reading and understanding blueprints / product specifications prior to starting a project.
- Organizing workspace prior to starting production.
- Measuring and cutting materials to specification.
- Welding materials using the correct methods to join metals together.
- Checking finished work to make sure it falls within the tolerances published for each project.
- All welding is performed by hand.
- Welding method is solid wire MIG.
- Raw materials to be welded are carbon steel.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of production welding experience.
- Must be able to perform as part of a team in a production manufacturing and welding environment.
- A welding proficiency test will be required, administered internally and on-site at the employer.
- Be able to operate basic measuring equipment and hand tools.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team structure.
- Must have strong technical and mechanical aptitude; and enjoy working in a production environment.

- Compensation consistent with experience.
- Major medical, dental and vision are available for full-time employees.
- PTO is available for full-time employees.
