Exempt (Full-Time) Position Summary The Fund Development Director is responsible for leading and implementing the organization's fundraising, donor relations, marketing, and community engagement strategies. This position develops and executes fundraising initiatives, cultivates donor relationships, oversees donor database management, and promotes the organization's mission throughout the community. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for building meaningful relationships that support the organization's long-term mission and financial sustainability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Fund Development Develop, implement, evaluate, and direct the organization's comprehensive fund development strategy. Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors. Maintain donor records with accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity Develop policies and procedures for gift processing, donor acknowledgements, and data management. Create donor communications including newsletters, fundraising campaigns, annual appeals, thank-you letters, and community outreach materials. Identify opportunities to educate the community about the organization's mission and services. Coordinate fundraising campaigns and special events that support organizational goals. Marketing & Community Relations Promote the organization's mission through marketing and public relations initiatives. Develop communication strategies to increase community awareness and donor engagement. Represent the organization professionally at community events, networking opportunities, and fundraising activities. Staff Development Assist department directors with planning, coordinating, and conducting in-service training programs related to customer service, marketing, public relations, and fundraising initiatives. Promote collaboration across departments to support organizational growth and community outreach. Budget & Financial Management . Plan and oversee marketing and fundraising expenditures. Maintain accurate financial records and submit expense reports and budget updates to the Executive Director. Ensure responsible stewardship of fundraising resources. Compliance & Confidentiality Maintain strict confidentiality of resident, donor, and organizational information. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations. Uphold the organization's mission, values, and ethical standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred. Experience in fundraising, donor relations, marketing, public relations, or nonprofit leadership preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Experience managing budgets and multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor management software (experience preferred). Ability to build strong relationships with donors, volunteers, staff, and community partners. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Strategic planning and problem-solving abilities Excellent public speaking and presentation skills Strong attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Passion for serving seniors and supporting the organization's mission
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
