HTML/CSS
is a plus, but we don't expect one person to be an expert at everything. The Person We're Looking For You take ownership. If something isn't working, you investigate it. You don't wait for someone to identify the problem and give you step-by-step instructions. You're proactive. You bring ideas, opportunities, problems, and potential solutions to the table. You move fast. You gather the information you need, make decisions, and execute. Straightforward decisions don't require three meetings. You finish things. Projects don't sit indefinitely in project-management software. You drive them through completion. You think beyond your specialty. You're a marketer first—not simply a media buyer, email marketer, designer, SEO specialist, or project manager. You understand how all of those pieces work together. You're collaborative. You'll work closely with company leadership and the rest of the team. You should be comfortable taking direction while also confidently bringing your own recommendations and challenging ideas when the data supports it. You're willing to get your hands dirty. You're comfortable managing people and agencies, but you're equally comfortable opening Shopify, Klaviyo, analytics, or a creative project and solving something yourself. You're resourceful. You know when to do something yourself, delegate it, use AI, leverage an agency, or bring in a specialist. You care about business outcomes. Traffic, followers, impressions, and ROAS can all be useful metrics. Ultimately, marketing needs to contribute to sustainable and profitable growth. What Success Looks Like Within your first several months, you should have a strong understanding of our customers, products, brand, economics, acquisition channels, retention programs, website, and competitive landscape. You should be able to clearly communicate: What's working. What's not. Why. What we're doing about it. And what we're testing next. When we're preparing a product launch, you'll turn the strategy into a plan and drive its execution. When performance drops, you'll investigate why and bring potential solutions. When an agency or vendor isn't delivering, you'll address it. When you identify an opportunity, you'll bring it forward and help execute it. When company leadership has an idea, you'll help determine how to execute it effectively rather than simply adding another item to a to-do list. We're looking for someone who can lead the day-to-day marketing function, work collaboratively with ownership, and continually push the business forward.
