Description Summary:
Are you a video creator who loves turning raw footage into engaging, trend-aware short-form content? Come join CED! With over 850+ locations nationwide, we're an established electrical wholesaler looking for a creative Social Media & Video Production Intern to help us level up our digital presence across our branches. You'll work directly with our Marketing Coordinator, owning post-production and publishing for three Profit Centers (PCs), turning raw, on-location footage into polished Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and graphic posts, and getting hands-on exposure to the trade industry along the way.

Marketing Manager and Profit Center Manager Minimum Qualifications:
What You'll Own This role is the engine behind our short-form content pipeline. You'll be responsible for:
Video Editing:
Editing raw branch footage into finished, on-brand short-form video (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) with captions, cuts, and trending audio.
Content Scheduling:
Building and maintaining the posting calendar across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok for all three PCs.
Caption Writing:
Writing engaging, on-brand captions for every post, following CED's voice and tone guide.
Target output:
5 videos or photo posts per week, per PC (15 pieces/week total), with content reused and repurposed across branches to maximize reach.
Preferred Qualifications:
Supporting Responsibilities Graphic Design:
Create simple, eye-catching graphics for promotional events, sales announcements, and swag previews using Canva or Adobe Suite.
Asset Management:
Organize raw and finished media files in shared cloud folders (Google Drive / Dropbox).
Trend Tracking:
Track viral audio, video trends, and social features that can be adapted for a trade and B2B audience.
Working Conditions:
Hybrid Structure Editing, scheduling, and caption writing can be done independently, on your own schedule, within the week's deadlines. Everything else, training, planning, and hands-on learning happens in person:
In-Person Meetings:
Regular check-ins and content planning meetings with the Marketing Coordinator.
Warehouse & Counter Rotation:
Time in the warehouse and at the counter to understand how a branch actually runs, this is where your best content ideas will come from.
Sales Ride-Along:
Shadow outside sales or a branch manager for a day to see the customer relationship firsthand and capture real footage while you're at it.
Vendor & Product Training:
Sit in on a vendor demo or product training session so you can speak knowledgeably about what you're filming.
Branch Travel:
Occasional paid travel to our Salt Lake City and Ogden branches for multi-location content and cross-branch collaboration.
Events:
Priority access to shoot any trade events, branch openings, or promotional days that fall during your term.
