Product Management Position Summary Lead product strategy, technical definition, and delivery for enterprise connected vehicle and cloud software infrastructure. You will translate B2B fleet and operational needs into secure, scalable vehicle-to-cloud foundations—covering connectivity, telematics data pipelines, remote diagnostics, and over-the-air (OTA) software/firmware updates. In this role, you will also manage the fleet cloud applications built on top of these foundations, driving commercialization, vehicle operations, and scalable software growth. Key Accountabilities Product Lifecycle Ownership (15%): Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle across vehicle-to-cloud foundations and fleet cloud applications, including strategy, discovery, roadmapping, technical requirements, launch, and post-launch optimization. Vision & Backlog Management (15%): Define product visions, business and technical requirements, API/data contracts, non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, reliability, security), epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release priorities in close partnership with Engineering, UX/UI, QA, Operations, and business stakeholders. Core Platform Definition (15%): Own product definition for shared connected vehicle capabilities—including connectivity, telematics data ingest, device identity and provisioning, remote diagnostics, alerts, and OTA software/firmware update management—along with the APIs and data interfaces consumed by other fleet products. Fleet Cloud Workflows (10%): Lead product scoping for cloud-based fleet operations software surfaces that consume connected vehicle data to support day-to-day fleet workflows, administration, and partner integrations. Architecture & Validation Strategy (10%): Partner with Engineering on system architecture and design reviews; define testing and validation strategies (integration, hardware-in-the-loop, bench, and field testing), rollout/rollback plans, and release readiness. Customer & Stakeholder Discovery (10%): Engage directly with B2B customers, fleet operators, drivers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to identify pain points, validate concepts, prioritize needs, and translate insights into product requirements. Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration (10%): Work closely with software, embedded/firmware, and hardware teams, as well as external technology, telematics hardware, connectivity, and vehicle partners, to evaluate technology options, integration requirements, system dependencies, cybersecurity/privacy considerations, and delivery timelines. Business Cases & Metrics (10%): Develop product business cases, success metrics, pilot plans, launch criteria, and post-launch performance reviews, leveraging analytics and operational data to drive continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Software, or Mechanical), Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. (MBA or advanced technical degree a plus).
Experience:
8+ years of product management experience with software products, including 4+ years as a technical or platform product manager for cloud, IoT, connected-device, or vehicle software products.
Domain Expertise:
Hands-on experience planning, designing, building, and testing connected vehicle or IoT platforms (e.g., device-to-cloud connectivity, telematics data pipelines, device management, remote diagnostics, or OTA update systems) taken from concept through production deployment at fleet scale.
Technical Fluency:
Strong background defining APIs and data models consumed by multiple internal/external products, and managing integrations with third-party software platforms and hardware suppliers. Experience with connected vehicle, telematics, fleet management, mobility, automotive, logistics, or transportation technology strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong technical fluency across cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP), APIs (REST and event-driven), data streaming/storage, IoT/vehicle communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, CAN), embedded software lifecycles, and OTA concepts.
