This full-time, remote role is ideal for a consultative sales professional who combines strong account-management skills with business analysis, forecasting, and a deep understanding of wholesale retail. Position Summary The Wholesale Account Manager will own key retail relationships throughout the South Central territory, including Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. You will develop account strategies, identify new business opportunities, manage forecasts and budgets, and partner closely with internal sales planning, marketing, product, and operations teams to deliver profitable growth.

Exempt What You'll Do Build and execute account and territory plans that achieve revenue, margin, and profitability objectives. Manage and expand relationships with department stores, independent retailers, specialty accounts, and prospective wholesale partners. Identify, pursue, and open new retail opportunities that strengthen market coverage and brand presence. Partner with sales planning to develop accurate sales, product, and inventory forecasts using market trends, historical performance, and account intelligence. Monitor sales velocity, sell-through, inventory, receipts, shipments, and margin performance to identify risks and growth opportunities. Lead regular business reviews and communicate account performance, strategic recommendations, and forecast updates to internal leaders and external partners. Serve as a primary liaison between retail partners and internal teams to support timely communication, shipment execution, and issue resolution. Manage account-specific budgets and investments in alignment with sales goals and profitability expectations. Improve retail demand and gross-margin performance through sell-through management, merchandising alignment, seasonal promotions, associate education, and in-store activations. Collaborate with regional retail teams across multi-door accounts to enhance product visibility and uphold merchandising standards. Deliver weekly recaps on key-account retail sales, territory shipments, forecast performance, and budget progress. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field; equivalent education and experience will be considered. Experience in wholesale sales, account management, or business development, preferably within footwear, apparel, consumer products, department stores, or specialty retail. Demonstrated ability to manage both field-level and corporate retail relationships. Strong commercial acumen with experience interpreting sales data, forecasts, inventory, and margin performance. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Ability to set priorities, build strategy, and independently manage a multi-state territory. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; SAP experience is preferred. Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory. Work Environment This is a remote, field-based position with regular travel to customer locations, sales meetings, market events, and internal business reviews.
