This is a 50% branch management and 50% business development role, requiring a leader who is equally comfortable managing a branch team and getting out into the market to build relationships, generate new business, and represent the organization in the community. A successful candidate will both oversee daily branch operations, coach and develop staff, and ensure exceptional member experiences while also spending time being a visible community ambassador and active outside salesperson, building a strong pipeline through face-to-face relationship building, networking, business outreach, community involvement, and events such as ribbon cuttings and local business/community functions. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and supervise branch staff to achieve sales and service goals Actively participate in sales and service activities, including outbound business development efforts Ensure optimal staffing through hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management Foster a strong sales culture using a consultative, needs-based approach Build and maintain relationships within the community and branch network Advise members on financial products and services that support their goals Prepare and close consumer loans, including HELOCs, while educating members on protection products Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless service and effective problem resolution Provide coverage and leadership support at other branch locations as needed Maintain branch security, operational integrity, and audit readiness Oversee opening/closing procedures and enforce security protocols Drive branch growth through coaching, training, and performance monitoring Handle escalated member concerns with professionalism and care Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including BSA and SAFE Act standards Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking or credit union leadership, including strong out bound sales management Strong knowledge of financial products, services, and regulatory requirements Proven success in sales coaching and driving referral performance Demonstrated ability to lead retail branch operations, including compliance and security Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Professional demeanor with a positive, role-model attitude Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to influence outcomes Sound decision-making skills and ability to exercise discretion when needed Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Willingness to travel between branch locations as needed Ability to resolve member issues efficiently and effectively Must maintain an active NMLS registration in compliance with the SAFE Act Credit Union Values Exhibit and reflect the
