This is a unique opportunity to join an established automotive business with a large dealership customer base while helping expand a growing technology platform nationally. The ideal candidate will combine automotive industry knowledge, consultative sales experience, and the ability to manage the complete sales process. Role Overview In the role of Director of Sales at Redline, you will be responsible for driving SaaS revenue through both Redline's established dealership network and new business development across a national territory. This is not strictly an account-management or new-business role. The Director of Sales will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through product demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, closing, and customer handoff. The initial focus will include developing opportunities within Redline's large existing customer base throughout the Northeast while also building relationships with dealerships and dealer groups nationwide.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract execution Prospecting within Redline's established dealership customer base Developing new dealership and dealer-group relationships nationally Conducting discovery meetings to understand dealership needs, challenges, and objectives Delivering engaging software demonstrations tailored to each prospective customer Creating proposals, pricing recommendations, and business cases Managing follow-up, negotiations, pipeline activity, and sales forecasting Building relationships with dealer principals, general managers, marketing leaders, operations teams, and other dealership decision-makers Working closely with Redline's product, operations, implementation, and leadership teams Supporting a smooth transition from signed agreement through customer implementation Gathering customer feedback to help strengthen product positioning and future development Maintaining accurate customer, opportunity, and activity information within the company's CRM Representing Redline during customer meetings, dealership presentations, and select automotive industry events Traveling approximately 10% based on customer and business needs Who We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is a motivated, credible, and consultative sales professional who understands the automotive dealership environment.

Essential Qualifications Demonstrated success in a full-cycle B2B sales role Experience selling SaaS, dealership technology, automotive data, digital marketing, or related solutions Strong understanding of automotive dealership operations and decision-making Experience conducting discovery calls and software demonstrations Proven ability to develop proposals, negotiate agreements, and close business Ability to manage a national pipeline and work independently Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with CRM systems and sales-pipeline management Willingness to travel approximately 10% A valid driver's license Legal authorization to work in the United States Dependable personal transportation Preferred Qualifications Existing relationships with automotive dealerships or dealer groups Experience selling inventory, merchandising, pricing, data, CRM, retailing, or operational technology Experience working with multi-location dealership groups Experience introducing a SaaS product through an established company and customer network Knowledge of dealership inventory, merchandising, marketing, or variable operations About Redline Automotive Merchandising Redline Automotive Merchandising is a private equity-backed company founded in 2007.
