Job Summary Teddy's Red Tacos is seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle cash and operate a cash register or POS system. The Cashier will also be involved in upselling products and assisting with product demonstrations to enhance the customer experience. Duties Operate cash registers and POS systems to process customer transactions efficiently. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy and integrity. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues. Assist in product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending additional items. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a welcoming environment. Perform basic math calculations for accurate cash handling and register reconciliation. Qualifications Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Proficiency in cash handling and familiarity with cash registers or POS systems. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and retail math applications. Ability to demonstrate product knowledge through effective product demos. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone. Supervisory skills are a plus for managing junior staff during peak hours.
