Cashier Responsibilities:

Provide fast, easy, flexible and friendly service to our customers Be friendly, cooperative and courteous with other store associates Provide Stock shelves and merchandise displays to ensure the store remains attractive and well-organized. Engage customers with excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remotely. Support store merchandising efforts by organizing products according to planograms and promotional displays. Conduct basic math calculations for pricing, discounts, and change to ensure accuracy in all transactions. Maintain a clean and safe checkout area while adhering to store policies on cash handling and security procedures. Participate in inventory counts and assist with stocking new products as they arrive. Promote a positive shopping experience through friendly communication skills and proactive customer engagement. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred, especially with cashiering duties. Proficiency with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math is essential. Strong communication skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customers effectively. Provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers Demonstrated ability to handle cash accurately, manage a cash drawer, and perform basic math calculations confidently. Experience supervising or leading small teams is a plus but not required; leadership qualities are appreciated for potential growth opportunities. Knowledge of retail store product offerings, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies will set you apart.
