Job Description

Subaru of Rochester | Rochester, MN Subaru of Rochester is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our Parts Department. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, storing, and distributing automotive parts and materials throughout the dealership. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You'll play an important role in keeping our Parts and Service operations running smoothly by ensuring parts are accurately received, properly stored, and efficiently distributed. What You'll Do Receive incoming automotive parts, accessories, supplies, and other shipments from manufacturers, distributors, vendors, and other sources. Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and other documentation to ensure accuracy. Inspect incoming parts for damage, defects, incorrect shipments, or discrepancies and communicate issues promptly to the Parts Manager or appropriate team members. Accurately enter received parts and related information into the dealership management and inventory systems. Label, organize, and properly store parts in designated locations to maintain an efficient Parts Department. Prepare and package parts for shipment to customers, vendors, other dealerships, manufacturers, and other locations. Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups and resolve delivery or shipment issues. Process and document parts returns, cores, warranty parts, and other items requiring return to vendors or manufacturers. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure returns are completed within applicable deadlines. Deliver and distribute parts to the Service Department, technicians, Body Shop, Sales Department, and other dealership departments. Assist Parts Counter personnel with locating, pulling, staging, and organizing parts for repair orders and dealership needs. Maintain clean and organized shipping, receiving, storage, and parts staging areas. Assist with periodic and year-end physical inventory counts and research discrepancies as directed. Monitor parts received against open orders and communicate shortages, backorders, damaged parts, and other discrepancies. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment when authorized and properly trained. Safely move and handle automotive parts and materials throughout the dealership and designated storage areas. Follow proper lifting, handling, packaging, and storage procedures to protect parts, equipment, employees, and vehicles. Collaborate with team members to maintain high levels of accuracy and customer satisfaction. Follow dealership policies, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable safety and environmental regulations, including OSHA standards. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dealership and inventory systems. Basic math skills. Preferred Qualifications Basic knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle systems, or the ability and willingness to learn. One year of previous automotive parts experience. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position works across dealership, warehouse, storage, and outdoor environments and requires frequent movement throughout the workday.
You should be comfortable with:
Frequent computer and office equipment use. Standing, walking, reaching, bending, and other physical movement. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling automotive parts and materials. $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
