Sales Engineer Badger Alloys - 3.4 Milwaukee, WI Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $80,000 a year 19 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Inside Sales Engineer We are seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to support our valued customers by effectively communicating product information, managing sales processes and delivering exceptional customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and respond to customer Request for Quotation packages. Read and interpret customer drawings, 3D models, quality specifications, and testing requirements. Estimate production costs, determine selling prices, analyze actual cost results. Prepare, send, and follow-up on customer quotations. Recognize the design, functionality, and cost benefits of common tooling options. Review customer purchase orders for alignment with quotation. Interact with customers in person, via telephone, and email. Coordinate customer visits. Work with sales, engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure that projects are a fit for the business. Develop in-depth knowledge of production processes and provide assessment of product manufacturability. Identify and address discrepancies, risks, or issues in specification, pricing, and contract terms. Assist in the documentation of standard practices and participate in improvement initiatives. Set annual personal and professional development goals, document progress. Perform all other duties, as requested. A bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial manufacturing, material sciences, or equivalent experience is required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
