We are currently seeking a highly motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused professional to join our team as a Sales Representative.

•Important Language Requirement Proficiency in Japanese is required for this position. Candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in Japanese to perform essential job functions, including interacting with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders, as well as reviewing Japan-specific business materials. Position Summary This position is responsible for conducting sales, recommending strategies to Management, developing business, implementing sales functions, and performing any other tasks and responsibilities as requested by Management. Primary Job Responsibilities 1) Serving customers by selling service, meeting customer needs and resolving problems 2) Calling leads and prospects in order to generate new accounts 3) Calling current customers in order to expand sales 4) Arranging and attending appointments with potential and existing customers 5) Entering customer data into internal web applications and data bases 6) Compiling leads and prospects through the internet and other research 7) Analyzing customer freight activity, offering appropriate pricing agreements 8) Assisting with the monitoring and progress of international and domestic shipments, from pick-up at customer origin to destination agent or consignee 9) OCS agent engagement and support, including receiving and initiating phone calls and email communication 10) Generating activity reports and reporting sales to management 11) Processing incoming emails, electronic files & faxes, sorting and proofing 12) Following up on past-due accounts to ensure that all collections are completed 13) Representing a company by attending trade shows and other events and/or in any other capacity as needed to grow the company's business. Associated Responsibilities 1) Receiving phone calls and speaking directly with retail customers in English and Japanese. 2) Cargo handling, including but not limited to: receiving, inspection, sorting, labeling, packing, palletizing, loading 3) Work assignment flexibility 4) Compliance with, training for, and reporting to: regulatory agencies, company safety and security programs, company 5) Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attaining job-related certificate or keeping up on industry trends and applying that knowledge to the job. 6) Acting on constructive feedback by being open to feedback from peers, supervisors, and clients and by using the feedback to improve performance. 7) Improving and examining departmental work processes, research procedures, administrative procedures and recommending changes where appropriate. Knowledge and Skill Requirements 1) Sales presentation skills 2) Telephone skills 3) Self-motivation and initiative 4) Interpersonal and team-building skills 5) Accurate and timely data entry into data programs 6) Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. 7) Ability to travel locally by car and/or public transportation to current and potential clients. 8) Ability to maintain security clearances and training certifications in accordance with industry regulatory agencies, including TSA. Physical Requirements 1) Standing and sitting for extended periods, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 70 lbs. unaided, or 150 lbs. with mechanical aid 2) Visual and auditory abilities; ability to conduct verbal conversation Language Skills 1) Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, forms and instructions in English and Japanese. 2) Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in English and Japanese. 3) Ability to effectively respond to questions from Management, Staff, clients, and the general public in English and Japanese. 4) Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to individuals and groups in English and Japanese. 5) Ability to effectively deliver presentation to Managers, staff, clients, and the general public in English and Japanese. Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four year college or university; and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar industry.
