We are actively recruiting a talented Residential Design & Sales Consultant (Contract Position) to join our team. This role will be responsible for working directly with prospective homeowners throughout the design, estimating, and sales process for residential remodeling and new construction projects. This team member will guide clients from the initial consultation through conceptual design, project estimating, material selections, proposal presentation, and contract execution while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Residential Design, Estimating & Sales Consultant will be responsible for designing creative and functional remodeling solutions, preparing accurate project estimates and budgets, presenting proposals, and successfully converting qualified leads into signed construction contracts. This position will work closely with our Project Managers and Operations Team to ensure each project transitions seamlessly from the sales and design phase into production. The primary objective of this position is to design exceptional residential remodeling projects while independently estimating, presenting, and selling each assigned project. The ideal candidate will possess the following: A high level of proficiency in residential remodeling, additions, custom homes, and single-family residential design. A minimum of 5 years of experience in residential remodeling design, residential estimating, architectural design, interior design, or residential construction sales. Must be fluent in Chief Architect design software and capable of producing professional construction drawings, presentation plans, high-quality 3D renderings, and complete design packages. Demonstrated experience designing and rendering kitchens, bathrooms, additions, decks, outdoor living spaces, and whole-home remodeling projects. Ability to perform material takeoffs, prepare accurate project estimates, develop project budgets, and confidently present pricing to homeowners. Strong sales ability with a proven track record of building client relationships and successfully closing residential remodeling projects. Experience conducting in-home consultations, taking field measurements, discussing project feasibility, and developing conceptual layouts based on each client's vision and investment goals. Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, building materials, cabinetry, finish selections, and current residential design trends. Excellent self-organizational methods, communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail throughout the design and sales process. Ability to coordinate effectively with Project Managers and Operations personnel to ensure designs are practical, buildable, and accurately documented. Proficiency with computers and related technology, including Buildertrend, Microsoft Office, and digital presentation software.
