Position Summary & Description The Color Chemist supports laboratory operations by developing, testing, and refining color formulations for customer applications. This role requires a foundation in chemistry or laboratory testing processes. The technician will work closely with lab leadership to ensure accurate color development, consistent formulation performance, and timely sample preparation in support of production scale-up. • Match customer-submitted color samples using pigments, additives, and various resin systems
• Utilize color measurement tools such as spectrophotometers and Pantone standards to ensure precision
• Prepare, process, and test laboratory sample batches prior to production scale-up
• Adjust formulations based on resin compatibility, performance requirements, and customer specifications
• Maintain accurate documentation of formulations, testing results, and lab procedures Key Skills
• Strong working knowledge of laboratory procedures
• Ability to distinguish fine color variations and maintain visual precision
• Proficiency with color measurement equipment and laboratory testing processes Education & Additional Requirements
• Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related technical field preferred
• Experience within plastics, coatings, inks, or textile color applications acceptable
• Ability to work accurately under deadline-driven production schedules Location Arlington, TX Compensation Competitive compensation package based on experience Base pay starting at $25 and will increase with experience Relocation support available for qualified candidates Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
