About the Role The Arc-Solano is seeking a dedicated, full-time Instructor to join our Tailored Day Services program. In this role, you will empower individuals with developmental disabilities to actively engage with their communities through education, employment, and volunteerism. As an Instructor, you will act as a mentor, educator, and role model. You will directly support participants as they work toward personal goals, which may include volunteering, improving literacy, studying for a driver's license, attending college classes, or exploring new creative crafts. Because many of our participants face social or workplace challenges, you will provide guidance and model positive behaviors to help them thrive.

Schedule & Travel Logistics Hours:

37.5 hours per week.

Flexibility:

This is primarily a day program, but occasional evening or weekend hours may be required based on participant needs.

Travel:

While our main office is in Vallejo, our participants live throughout Solano County. You will use your personal vehicle to pick up clients from their homes and support them directly in the community.

Vehicle Reimbursement:

Mileage is fully reimbursed from your first client pick-up to your last client drop-off. Qualifications Age:

Must be at least 18 years old.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or other special needs populations.

Employment History:

A solid, verifiable work history with at least 3 professional references.

Driver's License:

A current, valid California Driver's License (CDL).

Vehicle Requirements:

A reliable, insured vehicle capable of safely transporting up to three passengers, and a willingness to use your vehicle for daily work travel.

Background Check:

Ability to pass a mandatory criminal background check, including fingerprinting through the California Department of Justice (DOJ).

Skills:
