Community-Integration Instructor for Tailored Day Services The Arc-Solano - 4.0 Vallejo, CA Job Details Full-time $20 an hour 21 hours ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications CDL Full Job Description The Arc-Solano is hiring a full-time Instructor to support our clients with community integration through education, employment, and volunteering in our Tailored Day Services program. As an Instructor, you will help the participants on your caseload achieve their program objectives. This may include volunteering in the community, learning to read, studying for the CDL test, taking college courses, or learning a new craft. We always strive to provide sound advice and model good behavior for our consumers as many have difficulties in social or work environments. This is a flexible day program, meaning we may have occasional evening or weekend work, but our usual work schedule would be M - F, 9am - 5 pm. Our office is in Vallejo, but our participants live throughout Solano County, so you will work throughout Solano County. This means you will be driving throughout Solano County to get clients. You are paid mileage reimbursement from your first pick-up to your last drop-off.
Qualifications :
At least 18 years old At least 1-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities or other special needs populations Solid, verifiable work history (3 references) Must have excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively both as a team and independently Current and valid CDL Must have a reliable vehicle that can hold three passengers, auto insurance, and be willing to
DRIVE YOUR OWN CAR
during work (mileage reimbursement offered). Must be able to pass a criminal background check. You will be fingerprinted.
Benefits and Compensation :
Full time: generally M-F, but the schedule can flex. Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, PTO & sick leave, paid holidays, pre-tax benefit deductions, retirement with employer contributions, life insurance, a roadside assistance program, plus a work cell phone & work Chromebook. $20/hour plus mileage reimbursement
