Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
JOB SUMMARY
The Academic Coordinator provides critical support for the faculty and students in the School of Sport and Rehabilitation Sciences as well as the Divisions of Math and Science. This support includes regular communication, planning, organization, and logistical assistance for faculty and students in these academic areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions Student Support, Advising & Communication Build and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective students; provide encouragement and support; serve as a liaison between students and faculty. Coordinate Pre-Med and PTA interviews, assist students and faculty with scheduling and paperwork, collect prerequisite interview materials, take premed committee minutes, and maintain confidential files for premed materials and recommendations. Assist with recruiting events, awards ceremonies, and other student-centered activities, including the planning and execution of program events. Academic & Program Administration Maintaining class and cohort schedules, developing cohort calendars, coordinating room assignments and reservations, posting classroom information, and entering schedules in Colleague. Collect and archive faculty syllabi each semester; maintain current textbook lists and take minutes for division, program, and committee meetings. Student Records, Assessment & Program Data Create, organize, and maintain student and program records, including cohort data, graduation requirements and graduation verification, attendance, GPA, and support program assessment and reporting. Financial & Purchasing Administration Process credit card statements Order and maintain academic, laboratory, and program supplies and equipment.. Faculty, Staff & Student Employment Support Prepare and process adjunct faculty teaching agreements and support the hiring and employment of lab assistants, including collecting and submitting lab assistant hours. Occasional proctoring. Facilities, Technology & Operational Support Coordinate facilities and technology needs, including submitting maintenance and IT work orders, processing key card requests and access, coordinating building maintenance, and maintaining room reservations. Perform general clerical and administrative duties using university systems and software Events & Program Activities Plan and coordinate logistics for division and program events. Coordinate with the Catalysts liaison and president. Other Responsibilities Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the division, academic programs, faculty, staff, and students.
Required Qualifications:

Supervision Received:
Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction.

May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees.
