Job Description

CTE Coordinators are primarily responsible for starting, growing, and managing high-quality CTE and P-TECH programs that prepare students for direct entry into local, high-demand fields. The incumbent employee will have to liaise with district teams, institutes of higher education (IHE), and schools directly to ensure that every program is high quality as defined by Premier's rubric, ends in an industry-based credential (IBC), has engaged industry partners, and is certifying students at least 75% of students enrolled in the program. Much of the coordinator's work will be starting and improving programs. Still, there will be instances when workforce data, student interest, student performance, or return on investment make an existing program unviable. In these instances, the coordinator will work with the Premier district, the IHE, and school teams to transition these programs to the best pathways for student success. The core responsibilities of CTE Coordinators are the following, but not limited to:

Examine workforce data to ensure that existing and new programs are relevant to the school's geographical region. Build CTE programs that prepare students for regional workforce needs in partnership with District Leadership, IHEs, and schools. Initiate industry partnerships that give students contextual applications of classroom knowledge, in-person support, and external opportunities. Secure internships with school leadership for students in the field they are studying. Lead the process of MOU development with industry partners and IHEs to drive clarity in purpose, roles, and commitment. Help recruit students to CTE and P-TECH programs

Build pipelines of students to industry openings. Analyze data from programs and schools to monitor progress and improve as needed. Develop and manage sustainability plans for all CTE and P-TECH programs. Proactively improve programs based on student performance, industry engagement, IHE course passing rates, and job placement statistics. Support schools to help ensure that all students complete coursework, sit for, and obtain the credentials necessary for entering a career after high school. Help build financial analysis models for the development and operation of career programming. Contribute to improving district processes that support all programs.

Help school leadership recruit and evaluate teaching candidates for CTE and P-TECH courses. Support schools in data collection and analysis. Ensure students and schools acknowledge success and celebrate outcomes. Support schools in building material lists and helping them procure materials needed. Other duties as assigned.
