Part-Time Position Summary Howard College is seeking a motivated and student-focused Career Navigator to assist students and community members in exploring career pathways, identifying educational opportunities, and connecting with workforce resources. The Career Navigator will provide guidance, support career development initiatives, and help individuals achieve their educational and employment goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide career coaching and guidance to current and prospective students. Assist individuals with career exploration, career assessments, and employment planning. Help students identify educational and training programs aligned with career goals. Support resume development, interview preparation, and job search strategies. Connect students with community resources, employers, internships, apprenticeships, and workforce programs. Maintain accurate records of student interactions, referrals, and outcomes. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners to promote career readiness initiatives. Participate in outreach events, career fairs, workshops, and recruitment activities. Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing support to ensure successful outcomes. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High School graduate or equivalent required. Previous related experience preferred. Experience in education, workforce development, career counseling, student services, human resources, or a related field. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic database systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to serving diverse populations and supporting student success. Preferred Experience working with community colleges, workforce programs, or career services. Knowledge of local labor market trends and employment resources. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout campus and community locations as needed. Ability to lift and carry materials related to outreach and events.
