Hub Coordinator

Job Description

The Hub Coordinator serves as the primary operational backbone and implementation lead for the Federal Grant Hub (Hub). Functioning as the "Central Clearinghouse" across education, industry, and partners, this role coordinates day-to-day operations, manages employer advisory group logistics, leads regional high school and Career and Technical Education (CTE) outreach, and facilitates participant recruitment into aerospace technical career pathways. The position requires extensive travel throughout the region to conduct high school visits, deliver introductory "Launchpad" curriculum modules, and connect students with sub-baccalaureate aerospace careers in precision manufacturing, maintenance/avionics, and flight operations. Plan, schedule, and execute regular outreach visits to high schools, CTE centers, and school districts across the state. Act as the primary regional point of contact for high school CTE instructors, counselors, and administrators to build awareness of aerospace skilled technical career pathways. Lead participant recruitment and onboarding for Hub programs, with targeted outreach to rural, underrepresented, and non-traditional student populations. Deliver Hub Launchpad introductory curriculum modules to high school CTE classes and technical workshops. Collaborate with CTE educators and school administrators to seamlessly integrate aerospace curriculum modules into existing high school and community college course environments. Serve as the central clearinghouse liaison connecting aerospace employers, CTE institutions, higher education partners, and other partners. Assist in facilitating employer site visits, pre-apprenticeships, and work-based learning opportunities for participants. Maintain Hub operational participant tracking systems, monitoring student enrollment, course completions, and pathway progression across partner entities. Collect baseline and ongoing performance data in coordination with the Program Manager and Independent Evaluator to meet Learning Agenda standards. Identifies and pilots innovations in outreach, project management, & career connection processes. Participates in relevant training aligned with advising and workforce education. Other Duties as
Assigned:
Perform other project-related duties to support the overall goals of the Hub grant initiative. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and/or two years of relevant work experience at least 1-2 years of experience in adult education, career counseling, academic advising, or a related field. Experience working with non-traditional or adult learners. Preferred Qualifications Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines. Presentation skills. Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills. Knowledge of available career pathways and skills development programs to help learners make informed decisions and create goals and pathway plans. At least 3-5 years of experience in adult education, career counseling, academic advising, or a related field. Experience working with non-traditional or adult learners. This position is contingent on funding. Due to recent changes in H1B visa fees, Southern Utah University is no longer able to sponsor international faculty and staff that require an H1B visa and are currently living outside of the United States.
