This position is primarily based in

Surry County Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in a related field of study and one year of human services experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide support and assistance to individuals and families involved in child protective services, juvenile justice system or who have experienced trauma
• Conduct assessments and develop care plans for clients
• Collaborate with social workers, behavioral health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the well-being of children and families
• Utilize crisis management techniques to de-escalate high-stress situations
• Implement interventions and strategies to address behavioral issues and promote positive outcomes
• Coordinate and facilitate meetings with clients, service providers, and community resources
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress

Skills:

• Strong background in child protective services, social work, or related field
• Knowledge of behavioral health principles and crisis intervention techniques
• Experience working with children and families in various settings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage conflicts and resolve issues effectively
• Familiarity with child welfare policies and procedures
• Proficient in using computer systems for data entry and record keeping
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities
