Job Description

The success of DHR is dependent upon our providing the public with the highest possible level of service. DHR is a peer ran agency offering equal employment to those in recovery while valuing lived experience as a strength. Job includes but not limited to
  • Providing supported housing and employment services including, but not limited to: housing and employment assessments, identifying housing or employment resources, support obtaining a lease, independent living skills development, landlord relations, crisis management, creating resumes, jobs skills coaching, etc.
. Developing expertise in the supported housing arena by working with local housing authorities, providers, community partners, and additional resources regarding affordable housing availability, subsidies, voucher capacity, and supportive wrap-around services; Maintain individual client caseload and manage multiple deadlines, appointments and reporting requirements; Complete projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor; Prioritize projects needing to be completed in a timely manner; Collaborate with other program staff as needed for successful case management and related staffing. Experience
  • Knowledge of social work principles and practices
  • Familiarity with workforce development programs and resources
  • Understanding of behavioral health issues and the challenges people face
  • Knowledge of housing assistance programs is a plus
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
