Qualifications & Experience:

State-issued licensure or certification as a school social worker (Type 73, LSW, or LCSW, as required by state regulations) Prior experience working in a school environment highly preferred Familiarity with supporting both general education and special education populations Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with students, staff, and families Proven ability to manage caseloads and maintain accurate documentation

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and indirect social work services to 8th-grade students, ensuring their social, emotional, and academic well-being Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administration to support student needs and recommend interventions Develop, implement, and monitor individualized support plans for students with IEPs or 504 plans Facilitate group or individual sessions to address social skills, coping strategies, and emotional regulation Communicate progress and concerns to parents/guardians and participate in team meetings Maintain records in compliance with school, district, and state guidelines This full-time contract offers you the chance to make a meaningful contribution during a crucial transitional period for students.
