This full-time, itinerant position (35 hours per week, Monday through Friday) runs from ASAP through late May 2027, and is centered within a Pupil Appraisal Department. Rather than providing typical direct student services, youll be a pivotal part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with School Psychologists and Educational Diagnosticians. Your expertise will help evaluate whether students qualify for Special Education services, contribute to intervention strategies, and collaborate on essential meetings and assessments.

Qualifications:

Valid Louisiana Department of Education (DOE) Certificate Active professional license as a Social Worker Experience with or willingness to learn Bulletin 1508 procedures Ability to pass district-required fingerprint/background check and drug screen in a timely manner Comfortable traveling between 2-3 schools as assigned

Responsibilities:

Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and student testing for special education eligibility Attend and contribute to

SBLC/ABIT

(Academic Behavior Intervention Team) meetings Monitor and document intervention strategies Coordinate with a team of psychologists and diagnosticians Maintain thorough records according to district and regulatory guidelines
