Key Qualifications:

Active Louisiana Department of Education certification and professional social work license required. Experience in schools, with a strong understanding of student assessment, special education qualification, and related services. Knowledge of Bulletin 1508 and prior involvement in evaluation and re-evaluation processes. Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team, including School Psychologists and Educational Diagnosticians. Prepared to travel between 2-3 school locations as part of an itinerant assignment. Able to complete all district credentialing requirements, including background check, fingerprints, and drug screening.

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive student evaluations, re-evaluations, and testing to determine special education eligibility. Participate actively in SBLC and Academic Behavior Intervention Team meetings. Monitor intervention plans and coordinate multidisciplinary evaluations. Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure high-quality, compliant pupil appraisal services. Demonstrate flexibility, strong organizational skills, and adaptability in serving multiple sites and caseloads.
