Wild Sage Counseling & Wellness

LPC or LCPC Counselor/Therapist

Job Description

1099 Mental Health Therapist | Idaho Based A Different Kind of Group Practice Wild Sage Counseling & Wellness is looking for a licensed therapist to join our growing group practice as a 1099 independent contractor licensed in Idaho. We pay according to a percentage split, and we believe strongly that a group practice should earn its share .
Our goal is simple:
you should be able to show up, be an excellent therapist, complete your documentation, and go home. You shouldn't have to spend your evenings chasing insurance companies, responding to inquiries that go nowhere, figuring out benefits, collecting paperwork, or wondering when you're going to get paid. We work hard behind the scenes so you can focus on the part of the job you actually trained for: being a therapist. So, What Does Wild Sage Actually Do for You? Here's what happens when a potential client contacts us: We handle the initial inquiry. You're not fielding calls, responding to new client emails, scheduling consultations, or following up with people who disappear after one message. We verify insurance and benefits. Before anything moves forward, we verify coverage and make sure the client understands their financial responsibility. You're not left untangling insurance questions or discovering after the fact that a session isn't covered. You decide whether a client is a good fit. We don't automatically assign clients to your caseload. We check with you first about the presenting concern, insurance, and scheduling needs. You decide whether you'd like to take the client. We handle the intake paperwork. Consents, intake forms, insurance information, and other required paperwork are completed before the client gets to you. Then we make the handoff. Once everything is ready, we introduce you and the client by email. From there, you schedule directly with the client based on what works for you. We bill frequently and pay reliably. Billing is completed multiple times each week, and contractor payments are processed every other week. The sooner your documentation is completed, the sooner we can bill and get you paid. Your office is included. No separate rent or utility bill. You'll have access to a beautiful, peaceful office at least 1-2 days per week, with the option to incorporate telehealth into your schedule as appropriate. You have colleagues when you need them. We offer a free virtual consultation group each month. Bring a case you're stumped by, bounce ideas off experienced clinicians, or simply connect with other therapists who understand the work. Our Culture... We take our clinical work, ethics, and responsibility to our clients very seriously . Ourselves? Considerably less so. You can expect coworkers who understand that sometimes the only appropriate response to a long week is to breathe and laugh. We're professional without being stuffy. We're supportive without requiring forced fun. And we're interested in working with good therapists who want autonomy but don't necessarily want to run every aspect of a private practice themselves. You Might Love Working Here If... You're a therapist who values independence but also likes knowing there's a team behind you. You want control over your schedule and caseload. You'd rather spend your time providing therapy than learning the finer points of insurance billing. You're clinically competent, ethical, dependable, and comfortable managing your own clients once they've been handed off to you. You complete your documentation promptly because you understand that timely notes keep the entire billing and payment process moving. And perhaps most importantly, you're looking for a place where people work hard, treat each other well, and don't take themselves too seriously.
The Nuts & Bolts Position:
Independent Contractor (1099)
Mental Health Therapist Compensation:
60%/40% split (you keep the 60%!)
Schedule:
Flexible; contractor determines availability and scheduling
Location:

What We're Looking For:

We're especially interested in therapists who are: Ethical, reliable, and clinically grounded Comfortable practicing with a high degree of autonomy Responsive and professional with clients and colleagues Committed to timely documentation Interested in building and maintaining a consistent caseload A good human who contributes positively to the culture around them Curious? Let's Talk. Applying for a job can feel weirdly formal. It doesn't need to start that way. If Wild Sage sounds interesting but you'd like to know more before officially throwing your hat in the ring, we're happy to have a zero-pressure conversation and answer your questions.
