This position works directly with individuals and families who are facing eviction, helping them understand their options and connect with resources that may prevent homelessness. The Housing Coordinator will be present at eviction court, meeting with tenants before or after their hearings, conducting brief assessments, providing information and referrals, and helping individuals navigate available housing, financial, and community resources. The position will also assist with eviction prevention efforts, including connecting eligible households to rental assistance and other supportive services. This is a community-focused position that requires compassion, professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a busy court environment. The Housing Coordinator will maintain accurate documentation, track outcomes, communicate with community partners, and help Just Neighbors identify trends and gaps in services affecting households at risk of homelessness. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with people experiencing financial and housing instability, able to build trust quickly, and committed to treating every person with dignity and respect. Experience in social services, housing, case management, eviction prevention, or a related field is preferred.
Pay:
$18.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 28.0 per week
