Shelter Coordinator

Job Description

Job Summary:
Ensure the safety of all residents by implementing, monitoring and enforcing the rules and regulations of communal living and overseeing the maintenance of the buildings and grounds. Provide temporary shelter services and appropriate supportive housing for homeless individuals and/or families, develop programs and resources and formulate housing stabilization plans that promote moving towards permanent housing and self-sufficiency.
Essential Functions:
  • Completes shelter intakes assuring any basic needs are addressed and explains program rules requirements, and expectations
  • Assures the safety of each property through frequent inspections and reports any hazards to the supervisor
  • Maintains a calm shelter environment by enforcing rules with the goal of reducing negative behaviors
  • Assists and coordinates a client-driven Housing First case plan with clients
  • Creates and maintains a working relationship with program staff and community partners to facilitate the access of resources for those we serve
  • Completes required program reports and associated documents
  • Maintains a daily bed log and appropriate distribution Completes monthly THASP billing and record keeping

          Desired Qualifications:
          • Associates Degree or equivalent in education and/or experience
          • Human services experience
          • Experience with struggling populations Valid NH Driver's license and vehicle with liability insurance
          Job Type:
          Full-time Pay:
          $18.00 per hour
