Job Description Insight Global is seeking an Operational Technology Senior Engineer / Platform Engineer for a major federal cybersecurity initiative supporting the Social Security Administration. This individual will play a key role in establishing visibility across a mission-critical operational technology environment by supporting passive asset discovery, architecture development, communications analysis, and platform integration efforts within a datacenter environment.

The ideal candidate combines strong networking, cybersecurity, and systems engineering expertise with the ability to map complex data flows, analyze communications patterns, and validate technical implementations. This role will work closely with cybersecurity architects, infrastructure teams, and program leadership to improve operational visibility, strengthen security monitoring, and develop remediation strategies for identified risks. The position offers the opportunity to help build foundational OT cybersecurity capabilities within a highly visible federal program while influencing future monitoring and platform decisions.

Pay range for this position is $65/hr - $75/hr Skills and Requirements 7+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, OT Engineering, Network Engineering, or Platform EngineeringExperience supporting Operational Technology (OT), ICS, SCADA, Critical Infrastructure, Datacenter Operations, or highly regulated environmentsStrong understanding of network architecture, communications analysis, and data flow mappingExperience with asset discovery, network visibility, and passive monitoring technologiesAbility to analyze network traffic and identify OT/IT communications patternsExperience integrating security, monitoring, or operational platforms into enterprise environmentsUnderstanding of cybersecurity monitoring workflows and incident detection processesExperience performing technical validation and troubleshooting of cybersecurity controlsKnowledge of network segmentation, system dependencies, and architecture documentationAbility to develop remediation recommendations based on security findingsExperience collaborating across cybersecurity, infrastructure, engineering, and operations teamsStrong documentation and stakeholder communication skillsOT/ICS cybersecurity experience in government, utilities, manufacturing, transportation, energy, or critical infrastructure environmentsExperience with OT asset discovery platforms such as Dragos, Claroty, Nozomi Networks, Armis, or Tenable.otFamiliarity with industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, BACnet, OPC, IEC-104, or PROFINETExperience supporting Social Security Administration, Federal Civilian agencies, DoD, DHS, or other federal customersKnowledge of
