Duties Conduct scoped vulnerability assessments and security assessments across LAN, WAN, cloud infrastructure, endpoints, and APIs. Use tools such as Nmap and Burp Suite to test network protocols, authentication, encryption, firewalls, VPNs, and identity and access management controls. Analyze logs and security events using security information and event management (SIEM) platforms; support threat detection, incident response, and recovery. Help align security engineering and vulnerability management with NIST standards, ISO 27000-series requirements, PCI, FedRAMP, and other applicable compliance frameworks.
