Job Description

Data Management Coordinator E ngā iwi, e ngā karangatanga huri noa i te motu, tēnei te mihi atu ki a koutou katoa. He īnoi tēnei ki a koe. Tono mai ki tētahi tūnga ki te Kaunihera o Ōtautahi Our Facilities, Property & Planning Unit is seeking a Data Management Coordinator to join our Asset Planning & Data Management team. You'll be part of a team supporting the effective management and forward planning of Council's land and building assets through accurate, reliable and meaningful asset data. About the role | Ko te mahi nei In this role, you'll be responsible for managing, developing, analysing and maintaining asset data across Council's corporate systems and GIS, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and supports effective planning and decision-making. You'll work collaboratively across Council, helping to improve the quality and use of asset data while supporting the ongoing development of processes, standards and reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating the collection and maintenance of land and building asset data. Maintaining and improving asset and property master data across Council systems. Analysing and validating data to ensure its accuracy, integrity and reliability. Developing and producing standard reports, customised reports and ad hoc queries to support asset planning and decision-making. Developing and maintaining data standards, processes, procedures and user guides. Supporting the integration of asset information with Council's GIS systems. About you | Ko Koe Tēnei You'll be an analytical and highly organised person who enjoys working with data and turning information into meaningful insights. You'll also have: A relevant tertiary qualification in an area such as data management, geography, computer science, mathematics or engineering. Experience using enterprise corporate systems, GIS and other relevant information technology systems. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Strong data analysis, manipulation, validation and reporting skills.
