This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys designing secure network environments, supporting critical infrastructure, and driving continuous improvements across systems and security platforms. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with expertise in network administration, server management, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and infrastructure support. This role reports to the Director of Corporate IT and offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies while supporting a collaborative and forward-thinking organization. Position Summary The Network Engineer is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of the company's network and server infrastructure. This includes routers, switches, firewalls, Windows servers, cloud platforms, backups, cybersecurity initiatives, and virtualization environments. The successful candidate will design and implement network solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, maintain secure systems, support end users, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the organization's IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Network Infrastructure Management Design, implement, and maintain network solutions that improve performance, scalability, and security. Install, configure, and support routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and server environments. Maintain and optimize firewalls, routing protocols, switching environments, and SD-WAN technologies. Monitor network performance and conduct troubleshooting, testing, and vulnerability assessments. Investigate network outages and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Coordinate network upgrades, maintenance activities, and hardware refresh projects. Systems Administration Administer and maintain Windows Server environments. Manage Azure Active Directory, on-premises Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 systems. Support virtual server infrastructure and VMware ESX environments. Serve as the primary resource for SAN and NAS storage systems. Monitor system resources, performance metrics, server health, and capacity planning efforts. Ensure patches, updates, and software releases are deployed in a timely manner. Security & Compliance Implement and maintain network and server security controls. Manage antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. Monitor for emerging security threats and vulnerabilities. Maintain cybersecurity best practices and support compliance initiatives. Assist with risk assessments and support security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Inspect and remediate vulnerabilities across infrastructure and hardware environments. Backup & Recovery Manage enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions. Maintain and monitor backup systems for servers and critical infrastructure. Verify backup integrity and recovery readiness. Support cloud-based and on-premises backup environments. Documentation & Support Create and maintain network diagrams, infrastructure documentation, and operational procedures. Generate reports related to network performance, security, and infrastructure health. Provide technical support and escalation assistance to end users and Help Desk personnel. Mentor junior IT staff and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives. Stay current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity trends, and infrastructure best practices. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Strong experience supporting Windows Server 2022 environments.
Advanced knowledge of:
Azure Active Directory and On-Premises Active Directory VMware ESX Virtual Environments Fortinet Firewall Platforms SD-WAN Technologies TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and Routing Protocols LAN/WAN Architecture and Design Microsoft 365 Administration Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup and Recovery solutions. Experience implementing and maintaining cybersecurity best practices. Familiarity with security frameworks and risk management methodologies. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Preferred Qualifications Cisco CCIE Certification or other advanced networking certifications. Experience in engineering, consulting, professional services, or multi-site corporate environments. Experience managing hybrid cloud infrastructure and enterprise security initiatives.

Salary:
Approximately $130,000 annually , depending on experience, education, skills, and overall qualifications.
